Mark Loomis is a Registered Landscape Architect (#1412) in the state of Texas. He has accumulated over 20 years of experience in both landscape architecture and architectural stonework technical detailing.
While at TBG Partners, Mark developed techniques to convert 3d models into 2d construction documents using AutoCAD. Notable TBG projects using these techniques included the Texas State History Museum Entry Plaza Star, the Bridgeland Entry Blade Sign, the Independence Hills Regional Park Volute Overlook Structure and the Schlather Park Pavilion (pictured above).
When he was working at Materials Marketing, Mark was consistently called upon to tackle the most technically challenging projects. Those projects included the Bloch Cancer Survivors Plaza in New Orleans, Louisiana, the Bradley Residence Staircase and the Levenson Residence Balcony. Mark produced these architectural stonework shop drawings using manual drafting techniques and later using AutoCAD.
Moving forward, Mark has committed to moving his 3d modeling experience to the next level by using the latest parametric 3d modeling software to streamline the construction documentation process. He is also investing in the latest software to employ generative design techniques into his designs.
